VSL2 Predictor of Intrinsically Disordered Regions

The VSL2 protein disorder predictor exploits the length-depent (heterogenous) amino acid compositions and sequence properties of intrinsically disordered regions to improve the prediction performance. Unlike our previous predictors for long disordered regions (>30 residues), it is appplicable to disordered regions of all length. Here are more details.

Input sequence:

Please enter the sequence (without the FASTA header) using the single-letter AA code.

Predictor model: VSL2B (using 26 sequence-based features only)
VSL2P (also using 22 additional PSI-BLAST profile based features)

Output window size:

E-mail address:

E-mail address is optional for VSL2B, but required for VSL2P.

Download: The VSL2 predictor package can also be downloaded here. You can choose whether to use computationally demanding features derived from PSI-BLAST profiles and/or secondary structure predictions. Here are some detailed instructions about how to setup it on your own machine.
